The Wings of Opportunity

Once, a famous artist organized an exhibition of his paintings.
People from the whole city came to watch the exhibition.  A girl also
came to see the paintings. She was surprised to see a peculiar art form
at the end of all portraits displayed– a portrait of a  handsome person
was hung- whose face was covered with thick hair and wings were shown
attached to his feet. Below the portrait it was written in bold letters the
caption– “Opportunity”. The portrait was somewhat clumsy, so people
mostly ignored the same and moved forward.

The girl has been watching this portrait for a long time.
When she again went near the portrait, she could not help check
herself asking the artist, “Sir! Whose portrait is this?” The artist smiled and
replied, “The picture of opportunity.”  The girl again enquired, “But
why have you covered his face?”  At this the artist explained, “Dear!
Opportunity comes in the life of every person and it inspires him to
progress, but mostly we don’t recognize this great chance and we
lag behind, but those who recognize an opportunity, they manage
to accomplish something in life.”

“And what is the mystery behind the wings in his legs?” –
The girl asked with curiosity.  The artist replied, “opportunity moves away
fast; gone today will never come back again tomorrow.”

The girl understood this message and she got engaged in her progress
from that very moment.
