The Key to Success

Thomas Alva Edison was a world famous scientist. He was always focused and dedicated towards his objectives. He was able to do some 2500 inventions like, Gramophone, Magnetic Recorder, Camera, Cinema, Electric Bulb etc. But little do we know about him that he was a deaf by birth. Still, he never considered his hearing impairment as a hindrance. Instead, he assumed it, as his biggest asset and God’s grace. He always said, ” People waste their invaluable time in useless gossips but I don’t have to indulge myself in such a misuse of time. I can easily utilize my time in various useful activities like reading, thinking, contemplating and inventing.”

Edison spent his childhood in poverty and deprivation, but he never felt inferior while doing petty jobs and earning paltry sums. He sold vegetables in railway coaches, he sold newspapers, and even distributed cables. He considered every job as creative and dignified. Only this attitude towards life could help him achieve unmatched success in later years.
