There are two main powers of the world: Adminstrative Power and the power of Principles. Administration influences physical circumstances and spirituality inspires the inner self. Both must live together as complimentary to each other. It is a deception to say state-politics is not at all related to Spirituality. The truth is that the former is incomplete without the later. No state can flourish without dutiful and righteous citizens and if administration resolves to uproot moral principles, it can’t accomplish anything in the name of actual progress. The epic Ramayana explains that “ramrajya” was only successful as long as sage Vashista had the spiritual control over the administration through moral principles! The credit for majestic administration of Chandragupta can be given only to the spiritual guidance of the saint Chanakya. This ancient tradition has to continue further. Spirituality holds the supreme place: so state administration must only work as its supporter and able assistant.
