Whoever gawks at and counts other people’s shortcomings is doing nothing but feeding and magnifying his own ego. Hence, he is maximizing anger, contempt and hatred in his behavior. He unnecessarily builds egoistic conceptions and prejudices about others and starts considering himself as the best. He turns a blind eye towards his own demerits and sub-consciously becomes absurd and foolish.
None amongst us is as pure as to scrutinize other people’s sins and transgressions and punish them for the same. Only the Ultimate is complete and brimming in Himself and only He can castigate us.
One of our great saints has very rightly stated,” Please overlook other people’s sins so that our own sins get ignored in the court of the Supreme Being and we get pardoned.”
But this never means that we shall spare those who are doing crimes in the society. We must adopt a harsh attitude towards them and detect them with a thousand ears and eyes and get them penalized to establish peace, law & order on earth.
